Scene ONE
EXTERIOR busy city street, afternoon

ALICE an attractive young woman, a lonely / introverted telepath
ALICE walks down a busy city street.
The people she passes notice her or pretend not to, we see a super-imposition showing their inner thoughts (as ethereal voices) and emotions (indicated by specific colors that show on their faces, throats, chest, and sometimes at the joints and extremities)

MR FRIENDLY an older man walking a dog
(sweetly) “Good afternoon miss”
(redly) “What but I'd love to stick in in you little bitch MmmmMMmm”

MS REEDY a slim teen, smiles
(distractedly) “lalala-lalala-lalala-lalala” (repeating a snippet of popsong)

MRS PLAIN a doddering old woman, smiles in a friendly fashion
(disapprovingly) “ugh, slutty whore!”
etc.....

Scene TWO
INTERIOR Occult-y or weird Bookstore, afternoon

ALICE arrives and looks around

We see a poster for a meteor-watching party, with an appended note TONIGHT!!! Sign Up

Tons of occulty inserts can go here,
and character dialog - improv baby.

ALICE meets up with a group of people which includes :
MARSHAL the battle Wiccan
JUDITH the sexy Wiccan
BRIN slim & unassuming genre-fan / eco-nerd, the cute boy
EDWINA a sweet chick
BISCUIT a friendly dog

The young people meet up for the trip to the forest preserve for meteor-shower watching.



Scene THREE
INTERIOR vehicle driving on a rural highway, sunset

JUDITH drives and sings, and emotes with the music on the radio
MARSHAL gives directions, and talks about himself
BRIN pets the dog
ALICE pretends to read and watches the others
EDWINA chats and looks out the window

inserts of natural beauty

some character conversations,
and the a meteor flashes overhead – the campers exclaim amazement, and the car swerves,
the radio crackles static and ALICE catches a small flash of golden light from the radio, or so she thinks...


Scene FOUR
INTERIOR – park shelter / cabin / truck stop diner – night

With hours to kill before the peak of the showers the meteor-watchers shoot the shit.

Get some found dialog, or improv something here.
Have the cast show off any particular talents.
Plus location inserts, natural beauty shots if outdoors, whatever B-roll.

JUDITH plays with a pendulum or other occulty dowsing type item. (lit with joy)
MARSHAL cheers her on (lit with joy & lust)
BRIN watches, smiling.
ALICE watches, smirking, and sneakily watches the others.
The pendulum jerks – JUDITH & MARSHAL take this as a sign of JUDITH's psychic powers, but ALICE has caught a glimpse of X from BRIN... or has she? Could he also be a psi? ALICE scans his face searching for color emoting without result.
EDWINA looks stunned, (lit with fear)
BISCUIT looks up
ALICE “So, what was that? Did you use your psychic powers to move the pendulum? “
JUDITH “It wasn't me. The power moved through me” (lit with joy)
BRIN “From here it looked like she made it move. How this happened, I don't know.”

if outside...
EDWINA wanders off to gaze at natural beauty with BISCUIT = nature inserts
if inside
EDWINA goes out to check on her dog = night sky & meteor inserts




Scene FIVE
EXTERIOR – forest preserve camp-ground, late night

The campers sit around on blankets, or whatever, looking up at the sky, meteors are seen overhead, and the campers oooo and ahhhh at them. Suddenly a very large meteor blazes across the sky, making an odd sound and seeming to slow down, then change course to crash very near by. Lights and smoke rise through the trees above a rise just beyond. The campers move warily towards the strange scene. As they do they undergo an effect, look slightly stunned, and (lit with joy)

MARSHAL – image of burning beauty = god of war

FLICKER – a burning ball of plasma moves upon him, and drains him of life force, drops him

JUDITH – image of burning beauty = goddesses of love / starry goddesses / dancing dryads

FLICKER – a burning ball of plasma moves upon her, and drains him of life force, drops her

EDWINA – image of burning beauty = ???

FLICKER – a burning ball of plasma moves upon her, and drains him of life force, drops her

BISCUIT – runs off at top speed, past BRIN
BRIN - runs off chasing BISCUIT

ALICE – from her point of view we see a burning ball of gas, and the campers staring agape at it (lit with joy)

FLICKER – a burning ball of plasma moves
